Image via GIPHY

Netflix 'Let's Finish This' Netflix Here is the official info for you COBRA KAI SEASON 4, VOL. 1 "ALL VALLEY TOURNAMENT 51" SOUNDTRACK FROM THE NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES centers around the events of the 51st All Valley Tournament, featuring epic themes, crushing rock anthems and superstar Carrie Underwood's cover of the classic 80s hit "The Moment of Truth." Written by Bill Conti, Dennis Lambert, and Peter Beckett, the song was originally recorded by iconic 80's rock band Survivor for "The Karate Kid" original movie soundtrack and played over that film's end credits. Underwood's turbocharged interpretation is produced by Birenberg and Robinson. Let's go All Valley! Birenberg and Robinson said in a statement "We knew updating a beloved song such as 'The Moment of Truth' would be challenging, but from the second Carrie Underwood sang the opening lyrics, everyone knew she was born to belt this anthem. Working alongside Carrie and our amazing musicians was the highlight of our season 4 scoring experience and we're so excited for 'The Moment of Truth' to be listenable on our All Valley Tournament 51 album." Underwood added, "I am such a huge fan of 'Cobra Kai,' and getting to appear on the show and perform Survivor's iconic 'The Moment of Truth' for the season 4 penultimate episode and its soundtrack was truly an honor that ranks up there with my favorite things I've ever gotten to do." There's nothing we love more than finding the right song for a montage," says exec producer Jon Hurwitz. Warning This article contains spoilers for Cobra Kai season 4, episodes 1-6 When it comes to crafting the perfect Cobra Kai episode, the soundtrack is almost as essential as the karate. And finding the right song for key moments — like a training montage or a finale reveal — is a group effort. "It comes from so many different places," says Jon Hurwitz, who created Cobra Kai with Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg. "It's a combination of, we'll write songs into the scripts, we have an amazing music supervisor, and our editors are awesome when it comes to, they have their own bins of music." Poison, Ratt, Journey, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon — the Netflix comedy has used them all, and in season 4, the kick-ass needle drops continue. For the episode 5 sequence in which Johnny Lawrence William Zabka makes a series of ill-conceived efforts to recruit female students to his Eagle Fang dojo, the team chose the perfect song Mötley Crüe's raucous 1987 jam "Girls Girls Girls." Cobra Kai Season 4 William Zabka and Xolo Maridueña in 'Cobra Kai' Credit Netflix "I believe 'Girls Girls Girls' was written into the script," says Hurwitz. "A lot of times we write things into the script, but sometimes we'll write something into the script that we can't afford. I mean, our fantasy is having the kind of music budget that would allow for us to have nonstop AC/DC and Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses." One AC/DC song in particular almost played a major role this season. In episode 2, Johnny puts Miyagi-Do sensei Daniel LaRusso Ralph Macchio through a grueling Eagle Fang training session, which the creators wanted to set to AC/DC's famous 1990 head-banger, "Thunderstruck." "We had 'Thunderstruck' written into the script," says Hurwitz. "We've written 'Thunderstruck' into the script several times over the years, and we've never been able to afford it in that moment or to make that choice [to spend the money on it] right now." Initially, adds Hurwitz, he and his fellow creators thought there was no way they could set the training montage to any other song, but then Cobra Kai's music supervisor, Michelle Johnson, stepped in with different options that had the same macho-metal feel. The winner "Breakin' Outta Hell" by the Australian rock band Airbourne. "Michelle Johnson has done an amazing job, she's been phenomenal in understanding the tone of the show," says Hurwitz. "She'll pitch us many, many songs or send music to our editors and we'll narrow it down. There's nothing we love more than finding the right song for a montage." Netflix renewed Cobra Kai for Season 4 before Season 3 had even premiered. The first trailer for Season 4 is teasing an epic All Valley Karate Tournament—where the original Karate Kid movie saw its iconic climax. Here's everything we know about the show's upcoming fourth season. In the Karate Kid franchise, a phrase we hear often is "Cobra Kai Never Die." And it seems like Cobra Kai, the 34-years-later sequel series that was already a hit on YouTube Premium and has become and even more massive hit since landing on Netflix this past summer, has adapted that same mentality. Season 3 of the reboot smash hit the streamer back in January, and with a fun storyline that culminates in an epic finale, it's never too early to start thinking about Season 4. And, well, we have some good news Season 4 is well on its way, as a new trailer teases the All Valley Karate Tournament and a December 2022 release date. Each season of Cobra Kai has done something different for the franchise, which the creators have said is planned for at least a 5-6 season story arc. Season 1 introduced or, in some cases, re-introduced viewers to the characters, Season 2 expanded upon those characters, Season 3 showed those characters in new situations and in some cases gave us background. We don't know where Season 4 will go outside of heading to the All Valley Karate Tournament, but we know we'll see something new for the first time Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso fully working together. And John Kreese is teaming up with another villain from Karate Kid past as well. This won't be easy. And anyone who's a fan of The Karate Kid, and has been following along with the first three seasons of Cobra Kai has got to be excited to see what's to come from that. NetflixWhen will Cobra Kai Season 4 be released? We finally know when the new season of Cobra Kai will hit no pun intended! Netflix December 31. That's right—you can ring in your new year with Season 4, and see what it's like when Johnny and Daniel and Kreese and Terry Silver team up for an epic Karate tournament. The release date was made public when a new "Date Announcement" clip was released during Netflix's TADUM event. The clip also served as a mini-trailer, giving our first glimpse of the returning Karate Kid villain Terry Silver, and teasing how Daniel and Johnny might work together. No full trailer just yet—the date announcement clip above is the closest thing so far. Netflix also previously released a short first promo—complete with new footage—for Season 4. The promo, while short, teases the epic, winner-take-all stakes of the All Valley Karate Tournament that we knew was coming from the end of Season 3. It also draws a parallel between the original movie, The Karate Kid, and how legends and lives were made from that moment when Daniel kicked Johnny in the face. It goes without saying—this tournament will change lives, in one way or another. This content is imported from youTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web Kai Season 4 All Valley Karate Tournament Promo NetflixWatch onWhat will Cobra Kai Season 4 be about? The promo clip for Season 4 makes one thing abundantly clear this season is going to be all about the All Valley Karate Tournament. That's the big one. Winner take all. Loser go home. It's big. And all of our heroes are finally on the same side—and going up against Kreese. Season 4 was set up pretty nicely by the end of Season 3, which once again features an absolutely epic karate fight sequence—this time taking place both inside the LaRusso home and the Cobra Kai dojo. The fight in the LaRusso house centered on the Cobra Kai kids, as Samantha, Demetri, and the Miyagi-Do kids teamed up with Miguel and the Eagle Fang kids to take on Hawk, Kyler, Tory, and Kreese's Cobra Kai kids. Our heroes mostly are victorious here, and Hawk has a realization that he's on the wrong side; he helps Demetri and they get an over-aggressive Tory to go home. Meanwhile, Johnny shows up to the Cobra Kai dojo to find Kreese training Robby. They fight a bit, and a very Palpatine/Anakin sort of sequence ends with Kreese nearly killing Johnny ???? until Daniel shows up and saves the day. Eventually, Johnny, Daniel, and Kreese stop, coming to an agreement this dispute will be settled by the All Valley tournament. If Cobra Kai loses, Kreese will leave for good. As the season concludes, we finally see a mutual show of respect as Daniel and Johnny begin to train their students together in Daniel's Miyagi-Do backyard Hurwitz also revealed that Mattea Green, a former showrunner's assistant on the show, has been promoted to writer for Season 4, and that she was responsible for Johnny's all-caps Facebook message to Ali that he eventually deleted instead opting for "Not much, u?". Could this mean we get more classic Johnny Lawrence being bad at the internet humor Zabka himself told MH how much fun he has doing those sort of jokes in a recent interview. We certainly hope so. Kreese's phone call at the end of Cobra Kai Season 3 will certainly play a major part in the events of Season 4. One of the final scenes of Cobra Kai season 3—after the massive stakes of the upcoming All-Valley tournament had been established—finds Kreese Martin Kove calling in a favor via phone call. It's no coincidence that simultaneous with this moment, we see the conclusion of Kreese's Vietnam flashback, and one of his fellow POW's says he'll owe him forever. It was established in Karate Kid Part III that that movie's villain, Terry Silver Thomas Ian Griffith and Kreese were connected back in Vietnam—and here we see the roots. Kreese is certainly calling in a favor ahead of the tournament. What that favor is, and how it could affect our heroes? That's anyone's guess at this point. Could he be looking to also get Silver's protege, Mike Barnes? That's certainly possible. But remember that Silver is a billionaire, and those kind of resources could spell trouble for Miyago-Do and Eagle Fang. And with the footage of Silver's return, well, that just about wraps that mystery up now doesn't it?COURTESY OF NETFLIXCo-creator Jon Hurwitz has frequently mentioned the progress being made on Cobra Kai Season 4. One of the best things about Cobra Kai is that creators Hurwitz, Schlossberg, and Josh Heald are all incredibly active, transparent, and conversational with fans on Twitter. That means when they know something, chances are, we'll know something too. It also means sometimes we won't have as much clarity as we want, but hey, what are you going to do. In the case of Cobra Kai's Season 4, we don't know a whole lot. Hurwitz did share in late October that the Season 4 writing process was all wrapped up, though. "Final day of the Season 4 writers room," he wrote. "14 weeks with some of my favorite people in the world. Scripts are rolling in. Excited we’ll have everything written and polished by the time we start filming. It’s going to be another kick ass season!"He's also said that the season is "outlined in great detail". Who will be in the Cobra Kai Season 4 cast?Considering how Season 3 plays out, it feels pretty safe to say that most if not all of our key players will return. Cobra Kai isn't Cobra Kai without its two main characters, Johnny Lawrence Zabka and Daniel LaRusso Macchio. Also vital to the series are Miguel Xolo Maridueña, Daniel's daughter, Samantha, Mary Mouser, wife, Amanda Courtney Henggeler and Johnny's son, Robby Keene Tanner Buchanan, who are all clearly returning. Hawk Jacob Bertrand had a major change in Season 3, and will certainly return for Season 4 as well. Sensei John Kreese Martin Kove is obviously the series main villain, so he will certainly be back soon. With Season 3's appearance of Chozen and Ali, it was also fair to speculate which original film characters may finally make their returns—with the hints from Kreese's military flashbacks, and his phone call at the end of Season 3, it sure seemed like Terry Silver the villain from Karate Kid Part III played by Thomas Ian Griffith will play a role. And that was officially confirmed earlier this year, and the first footage was seen with Silver training in the Cobra Kai dojo in the Date Announcement clip.
